In Angola, 30 percent of school-age children, mostly girls in rural areas, do not attend school. In Zambia, 10 percent of school-age children are orphans, many with no adults at all left in their lives. Extreme poverty and unthinkable hardship have deprived these children of their right to education. The Evangelical Congregational Church in Angola supports 78 schools, and the People’s Action Forum in Zambia helps about 2,000 orphans attend school. These partners help improve children’s lives through education.
