Political unrest and an economic crisis exacerbated by COVID-19 have plunged much of Lebanon’s middle and working class into poverty. The children of Mount Lebanon (near Beirut) are at risk of losing their education. No school means the threat of child labour, abuse, and an unstable future for a lost generation. The Middle East Council of Churches assists Lebanese students and Syrian refugees, ages eight to 13, with tuition and fees to secure their education.
Your Gift will help one child stay in school by supporting their annual tuition.
