Emergencies don’t happen at convenient times—and lately, the Jimmy Pratt Memorial Outreach Centre in St. John’s, NL, has seen more and more community members in emergency situations. A new emergency pantry will provide food, as well as basic clothing and hygiene items, to people who find themselves in need when the centre is closed. The fixings for a meal or two, or a pair of mitts and a winter cap, can make a big difference to someone who needs emergency help.
