Poverty isn’t just about how much money a person has. Sometimes it’s also about needing connections that can help. That’s why Bridges Peterborough (Ontario) brings people living in poverty together with mentors and with others in the same situation. Through skills and leadership training, sharing their stories, and other transformative activities, they build new relationships and resources that help them become more active in their community and take the first steps out of poverty.
