Poverty isn’t just about needing money. Sometimes it’s also about needing connections that can help. That’s why Bridges Peterborough, in Ontario, brings people living in poverty together with mentors and with others in the same situation. Through skills and leadership training, sharing their stories, and other transformative activities, they build new relationships and resources that help them become more a part of their community and take the first steps out of poverty.
