Many homeless and low-income people in Winnipeg, MB, are residential school survivors who were removed from their homes and culture as children simply because they are Indigenous. Their lives continue to be affected by racism and injustice against Indigenous people every day. 1JustCity provides them with an opportunity to engage with Indigenous culture in a meaningful and healthy way, based in an established and safe community of love and support.
