On any given Monday, people from on and off the Wasauksing First Nation near Parry Sound, ON, make their way to the Wasauksing Food Bank to volunteer, donate, or get a supply of food for the week. The food bank provides Indigenous foods like wild rice and white corn processed for corn soup along with milk, fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, canned food, and other staples. Local hunters and fishers donate wild game and fish whenever possible, and a hunt dedicated to the food bank will take place this fall. During the rest of the week, food bank volunteers provide emergency drop-offs whenever they’re necessary.

Your Gift of $35 will help one family feel more secure by providing fresh and staple foods for the week.
