Indigenous residents of the villages of Am-am and Madalipey in the Philippines rely on commercial vegetable gardening to provide cash for family needs. As farmers have expanded agriculture in this area, parts of the forests have been cleared and water has become scarce. For most of the year, local creeks are dry, and water needs to be delivered. Cordillera People’s Alliance is helping the residents install a solar-powered water pump and storage tank, which they will maintain themselves. With stable access to water for household and garden use throughout the year, their livelihood will be enhanced, and poverty will be reduced.

Your Gift of $100 will help provide a stable source of water for the Indigenous residents of Am-am and Madalipey.
